Video recording is not permitted either inside or outside Villa Farnesina, including during special openings.
However, for personal study purposes not related to the production of publicly distributed materials—such as publications, merchandise depicting subjects from within the Villa, or television programs—the Academy may, at its sole discretion, grant permission to carry out a limited number of recordings.
Permission is subject to submitting a formal request to Dr. Virginia Lapenta ([email protected]). The applicant must also provide the Academy with a copy of the study material produced. For photographs and video recordings intended for the professional use or exploitation of the Villa’s image, a specific authorization from the Academy is required. Once the request has been reviewed, the Academy will assess whether to initiate the procedure in accordance with current regulations.
